Downtown Kitchener has seen major change over the last decades. In this project, groups were assigned portions of the city’s streets and asked to present the most intriguing and relevant information. Upon visiting the site, it became quickly apparent that the buildings on Queen St. N have changed drastically through the years. Therefore, it was decided that the project would focus on the different buildings on the street and their programmatic, material and formal changes through time, and would be presented in a huge timeline relating the changes to historic events and population growth. Several conclusions can be drawn from the submission, which is intended to be viewed as a large infographic.
